I am looking for a shared Webhosting with Crystal Reports Runtime files installed?
Why are just a few offers available ? Is it a problem of performance or license or what else?

The problem is license related, but you could get
VPS ASP.NET hosting server and install your software on it.

if you have big budget, you can go with a VPS. However, if you have limited budget, you can certainly go with a shared hosting that offers Crystal Report. Truly, there are not many shared hosts out there who offers Crystal Report support and this is mainly
due to the fact that
- most of the hosts do not support Crystal Report, or
- they have difficulties in configuring crystal report on their servers, or
- they do not support Full Trust mode (which is an important thing in Crystal Report setup) or
- crystal report licensing issues, or
- they are worry that a site with crystal report may impact the performance of their server.
Obviously, if I have a site with 10 pages of reports only, I would not bother to spend more $$$ to go with a VPS. You can simply register a shared host that supports Crystal Report and everything should work fine. You can certainly consider
asphostcentral.com for crystal report host and truthfully speaking, you need to choose a host that only can accomodate your needs for crystal report.
please mark this response as an "answer" if it helps you. Thanks

Arivxe could be the answer.
Arivxe has version 10.5.3700 installed in shared windows servers.
Hope this helps.

thanks for sharing,
as far as I am concerned, CR version 10 is quite old now. BusinessObjects has even released Crystal Report v12 (2008) and Crystal Report v13 (CR for VS 2010).
You can get all these latest crystal report version with asphostcentral.com. It all depends on your requirements again. Hope this helps :-)

Crystal Reports Runtime is free to install on any server.
You can ask the host to install crystal report runtime for you but it may cost extra.
If your budget is good, you should consider getting a vps and install everything you need.

Thanks ! I think so too.
Since I have Crystal Reports 2008 Developer or Visual Studio 2008 Professional I am allowed to execute Crystal Reports (rpt)-files on my shared webspace.
But where is this written, that I can be sure that your provided information is right?
Many Thanks to you all !

How can I be sure, the it is allowed to install the runtime files on the webserver?
Where can I read it - in the license terms?

You can refer to BusinessObjects website for details. Crystal Report RunTime is provided free of charge and you can certainly install it on the server.

http://www.arvixe.com/ seems to be good.
Does anybody have experience with this company?
Is it more dangerous to host the website in the states than in germany?

I believe that any shared providers will allow you to install Crystal Report runtime. If they do not allow it, simply look for a host that can cater your needs

I don´t have a VPS (virtual private Server), I am using a shared server, so the admin has to install the crystal runtime library.

To answer your question, Arvixe is a good company.
I have hosted asp.net webapps using them in a shared hosting environment.
