I have a C# aspx page that populates a picklist in the Page_Load method. The code is inside of the if(!Page.IsPostBack) and everything works fine...it only populates the picklist the first time to the page. Now
the user clicks a button which opens a new browser window for a report. The original page now fires the code inside the if(!Page.IsPostBack) every time, like it forgot that it was a post back. The really wierd thing
is that it only does this on one server (a 2008 server). It works fine on a different 2008 server and a Windows XP box. I am assuming it is some configuration problem, but I can't seem to find it. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Is it Windows Server 2008 (Server Core Role), then I guess postback won't work.
Hope this helps

Check your operating system version. See this list for detailed lists:-
Also remember that the .NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform.
Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows XP SP2 x64,Windows Server 2003 SP2 Edition are supported verion while , Windows Server 2008 (Server Core Role ), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core Role) are not supported,
So my guess is taht you are using Windows Server 2008 R1/R2 (Server Core Role) on that particular machine.
