I would like to know if its possible to open a word doc from a path and write something and save it?

Using office interop you can do this , for this you have to add its reference , but due to copyrights issue none of any developer will recommend you to do this , as it is Violation of Microsoft terms and regulations.

I used this way:
Dim pRun As System.Diagnostics.Process = New Process
pRun.StartInfo.FileName = "D:\DOC\projects.docx"
pRun.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = True
Catch ex As Exception
Console.WriteLine(("Exception Caught: " + ex.Message))
' Could be that the document is already open (/) or Word is in Memory(?)
