If you use Control Panel to install IIS, you get the default installation, which has a minimum set of features.
If you need additional IIS features, such as Application Development Features or Web Management Tools, make sure to select the check boxes associated with those features in the Windows Features dialog box.

But how to create mdf files. I am too confused. Here is my connectionstring.
When i try to attach my db.mdf file to app_data it wont show any file path. I just ended up adding new empty database file.
<add name ="ConnectionString" connectionString ="Data Source=SANTOSHRJ-PC;Initial Catalog=OnlineQuiz;Integrated Security=True;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\OnlineQuiz.mdf;User Instance=True" providerName ="System.Data.SqlClient" />
Thanks for the response.
Please let me know.

If you Right click your App_Data folder and click on Add New Item, you can see the SQl Server database template. Select this and the .mdf file will be created. The path of the .mdf file will be project location/app_data/

You right click on the App_Data Folder and click on Add Existing Item. Then navigate to the location where your database(mydb) mdf file is located. Click on Add. It will add the .mdf file
Open Server Explorer and right click on the Data Connections and click on Add Connections. Select Advanced and select AttachDBFilename and select the mdf file.
