I'm had set a local host in my system using IIS..I'm able to load html pages.But,not asp. I had tried the link http://127.0.0.1/test.asp.
The error is
The type of page you have requested is not served because it has been explicitly forbidden. The extension '.asp' may be incorrect. Please review the URL below and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Requested URL: /test.asp
Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.1882; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727
How can solve the issue?..i'm using visual studio 6.0..pls help

You need to configure your IIS to suport classic ASP.

I had already configured IIS.The cause of my problem is asp configuration is missing from the webconfig file.Now it is working fine....Thanks......

Ok, glad to hear you solve your problem.
If you want, post here the web.config configuration so anyone who get this similar problem can be able to solve it too.

Thanks..the two lines(in bold) has to be added to web config if it is missing.
<add extension=".asp" type="System.Web.Compilation.PageBuildProvider"/>
<add path="*.asp" verb="*" type="System.Web.UI.PageHandlerFactory" validate="true"/>
