Yet another Crystal Reports question from me..
The scenario is:
A VS 2003 developed application is running on Windows Server 2008 R2. The application uses Crystal Reports 10; this option doest work. The environment has all the framework installed - 1.1 through 4.0.
What should be the version of CR to be installed to get this application up and running?
The current configuration (VS 2003 application, 1.1 framework, CR 10) is throwing a NULL reference error.

Windows Server 2008 R2 only operates under 64-bits environment. You may need to check CR 10 compatibility first and you may have to refer to Business Objects website.
I would recommend you to upgrade your Crystal Report to CR for VS 2010 (the latest CR version). You can download it free of charge. I have tried this out on 64-bits environment and it works!
Hope this helps!

Sorry for the late reply.
I have installed the CR 2008 (v12) which supports the following frameworks 1.1, 2.0, 3.5
The problem what I had was, the data was being fetched from Oracle DB and I had installed a Oracle client for 64 bit OS. But I suppose CR is 32 bit and hence I uninstalled the Oracle client, installed 32 bit client.
Other things which I did was :
Provide Network Service account rights on the folder
Enable 32 bit applications in the App pool in IIS 7, Process model - Local service.
These made the job for me and now it works.
Hope this helps..

Oh and yes!
you will have to download Visual Studio Integration Manager. This will do the task of migrating your existing CR references to the latest ones.
You will find the compatibility information on the wiki pages in SAP website.
