I am using VS 2008.
I am working for the first time on microsoft reportviewer control. I have a reportviewer control with processing mode set as Remote. How can I set the datasource for the report just like how we set for the local report
ReportDataSource dataSource = new ReportDataSource("MyDataSourceName", datasetWithData);
How do we achieve setting the datasource for the processing mode = server . Any links or any code snippet would be helpful.

You cannot set the datasource to the server report just like local report in code-behind. What you should do is to download server report from the report manager, then open the report via BIDS, then you should set its datasource based on your requirement,
then deploy the report to report server.

Thanks for the reply Challen Fu.
I have a Dataset (System.Data.DataSet) which is fed by a Web-service, which I need to use as a datasource for the server report. Will I be able to achieve this.. ( I was setting the datasource for the Local Report by using this dataset. )

Reporting Services support the following data source types: Microsoft SQL Server; Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services for MDX, DMX, and Microsoft PowerPivot; Microsoft SQL Azure; SQL Server Parallel Data Warehouse; Oracle; SAP NetWeaver BI; Hyperion Essbase;
Microsoft SharePoint List; Teradata; OLE DB; ODBC; and XML. So your scenario, you can create a XML datasource to RDL report. So datasource in Reporting Services, please see:

Thanks for the reply. In the link
http://blog.infotoad.com/post/2009/09/08/Reporting-Services-2008-Using-XML-Data-Source-type-and-Querying-a-Web-Service.aspx, it talks about adding WebServices to the project. But in my case , I have 3 tier architecture and I already have webservices accessed
via WSDL in the DAL Layer. So my dataset is getting populated at the time of loading the page and I was able to do the LocalReport using VS2008. Is there anyway that I can use this dataset for the ServerReport
