I have a web server that is currently running smoothly with ASP.NET version 4.0.30319. When I move the application to the new server, I have the latest ASP.NET framework installed.
For the new server, I start the IIS manager => go to default website => select a virtual directory => select property => click ASP.NET tab, I can select ASP.Net version 4.0.30319. But in the Web Service Extension, I can only see ASP.NET v1.1.4322. How
can I make 4.0.30319 to appear in the service extension list?

Ideally it must be .Net framework to be installed first and then the IIS. Check this out!

I will try this no later than the end of this month and let you know the result. Appreciate if you can stay with this thread in case I still have problem.
Thanks a lot!

you need to change .net version to 4.0 first and all extension will updated.

Does Fardin's reply help on your case or you have gotten some new findings?

I found that I need to manually add ASP.NET 4.0 to the Web Service Extensions in IIS manager, which I don't remember I need to do that in the old server. It could be something to do with what Fardin said. I am not sure. Obviously if the version that you
want doesn't appear in IIS manager, you can add it manually.
