Hi, OK, never done anything with LDAP before so I am very new to this. I could really do with some guidence on how to do something which I am hoping is pretty simple. I have a web page on my intranet which runs a report, now lets say I have a particular
filter that I only want certain people to be able to use, there are already items in place to check permissions based on the windows login credentials (and this is all code I have inherited I am not the author) but this simply checks the current logged in
user. I want to be able to get them to provide their user name and password so any user can do it from any machine where they may not be logged in to.
So simply provide their usrname and password and I check the active directory to see if those credentials are correct. Only I have no real idea on how to go about this.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Does the link from Gww's reply help in your case?

Yes that worked fine, I put the code into a web service too and that is fine.
