-My current application is build using .net 2.0,VS 2005 ,MS SQL 2005 ,IIS 7.0.If I upgrade to .NET 4.0 ,do I have to upgrade VS and MS-SQL as well?If so to what version,VS 2008 or VS 2010 ?i am very limited in my budget. If I do upgrade everything, will my

Dear friend, First of all visual studio 2010 is not upcomming version and it is already existing version,
By Installing Visual Studio 2010 , you are ready to develope and deploy applications under .net 4.0
You can upgrade all your previous applications to .net 4.0 easily without any problem.
You don't need to upgrade to SQL Server 2008, you can still use 2005.
If you are buying new laptop make sure you have higher version of windows like ultimate , don't go for basic version ( windows 7 basic ), because they don't support IIS propertly.
Have a happy upgrade.

If you upgrade framework to .Net 4.0 , there is no need to upgrade VS/SQL server etc... every thing will works fine.

Any new laptop should run Visrual Studio & MSSQL server with no problem.
I recommend getting a laptop with Intel Core I3, 2GB Ram (more Ram is better), Windows 7 Home Premium.
When you open ASP.NET website in VS2010, Visual Studio will provide option to convert/upgrade project.
