I know this may be asking for too much but is there a shopping cart that supports digital downlaods/uploads (digital shopping cart) and microsoft express editions.

I think she is wondering about one that supports MS Visual Studio Express Editions. Here's a couple ways you can get a free copy of VS 2010 Pro from MS and its legal.
1. Sign up for DreamSpark if you're a student
2. Sign up for Website Spark if you are a developer or a startup company
I'm not sure what the requirements are for #2 but I know that if you qualify, they will give you access to VS2010 and other stuff too :)

It looks like NOPCommerce will support VS 2010 express.
"Visual Studio Express users will see the following message when opening the Visual Studio solution (.sln) file for each of these samples: "Solution Folders are not supported in this version of Visual Studio. Solution Folder 'Solution Items' will be displayed
Although this folder is not available in Visual C# Express, you can still build and run the projects."
So essentially, could you try opening it as a web site instead?
