I am just planning to work on a shopping cart application.
So wanted some inputs regarding the same.
Like what kind of architechture should I follow, some start up tutorials etc. I would be using asp.net, c# & sql server.
I saw this open source nopCommerce here in asp.net:
The demo looks good though I have not downloaded and seen the code as yet.
If anyone has seen this, what are your inputs on this, if this would be able to handle large traffic/volumes.

nopCommerce is a great product, I've used it several times, and am currently working on a v1.8 installation. Its built on ASP.NET 4.0 webforms and uses the Entity Framework for data access. Its very well done and easy to customize. I highly recommend
it. v1.9 is out now will some good upgrades.
As far as how much traffic it can handle, it all depends. But I feel comfortable putting small to mid size e-commerce sites on this platform with no worries.
