in my application the default time out period for a session is 20 minutes. but i want to increase the sessiion time out period for a textbox.
how can i do this. plz any body tel me.

you don't have such fine grained control over session state. However could it be that you're looking for outputcache instead? For that you can specify a certain amount of time before it refreshes when requested. This can also be done at user control level
Take a look at
@OutputCache on the page level and
caching portions of an ASP.NET page.

can you please presisely share your requirenment as i am not getting you so far?
i think you are mixing Control cache and session in asp.net and both the things are diffrent.
