I'm sorry if this has been asked 1000 times before. Anyhow, I'm working with an asp.net 4 app that requires using a 3rd party web app that also uses asp.net but we don't have to source code; just the web app and dlls. If I want to redirect to the 3rd party
app without losing my session, what can I do? The problem right now is that I have the url for the 3rd party app page that I want to show (and don't need to handling anything else like events etc,) so when I redirect to it and then come back to my app, my
session is null. I'm aware that if you leave the scope of your application, you lose your session, so my question is how can I make this work? Is there a way to show the 3rd party webpage inside a control in my app without losing the session? Like using a
frame or something like that? Again, I don' t need to handle any events or anything, they'll just use the 3rd party page like it's in a black box.
If anyone has any suggestions, it would be a big help.

I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to asp.net (as you can see). So are you saying that I can use a FRAMESET to do this without losing my session?

Restoring session variables can be handled in different ways. see below link for solution. Let me know if you need more

Thanks for the link, but I didn't find an answer to my problem there.
Any other suggestions?

Ok, got a lot of views, so I guess I can assume that other people would like to know how to do this.
Maybe I should generalize my question a bit more. How can I preserve a user's session data after redirecting to a 3rd part app and coming back? It's really hard to believe that no one knows how to do this. I'm sure there are plenty of sites that do this
with 3rd party apps that handle purchasing etc. How do they do it? There has to be a way.
All I need it to do is somehow embed a 3rd party website within my app so that I can use their services. Do these sites usually provide an API or something like that?
Any info will help.
