Sorry, not sure what forum this best belonged in, because the request I am referring to happens in an HttpHandler I've put it in here ...
I have an asp.net site that initiates some threaded tasks (for logging, etc ...) before returning a page. If my page
returns (the request therefore completes) before my threaded tasks complete - will they be dropped or will IIS still allow those inner threads to complete even though its parent request thread has completed?

Those threads still run......,no doubt..

That has always been my understanding ... but I was talking to a much more educated co-worker who seemed to think otherwise ... where might one find documentation to confirm this one way or the other?

the child thread always runs parellely even though the main thread completes its tasks...,
But this might be ur co-worker opionion..., if the main thead (process) is killed then the subsequent child thread are also killed and stop processing...,
there won't be direct references which explains this point...., I will post it here if I find any

Still curious about this one.
