Everything was working fine, but when I added Linq statements to grab data from an XML Source, I got access denied when the code ran this line from the code-behind:
XElement _empXml = XElement.Load(@"C:\Users\my_userName\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\WebSites\MyTestSite\App_Data");
It says that the asp.net is not authorized to access this resource. I understand that, but when I acccess the security tab to give asp.net account rights to the folder, I can not find the asp.net account to give it rights. The IUSR and Network account has
rights. I am using IIS 7.5, and are new to this version. Anyone have any idea how to fix?

The IUSR and Network account has rights.
asp.net will by default run under the credentials of the "Network Service" account.
make sure to give that account the needed permissions.

Everything and everyone has rights, its driving me crazy!
Here is the list for the folder (root and all sub folder) that have FULL CONTROL permissions:
ME (my logon username)
An I STILL get access denied. I need help on this one, because it is baffling me! Everyone has full control on this folder and still get access denied. Oh, and to save you time, Yes I tried impersonation, I am in the right folder directory. But, it still
says access denied!

i noticed your path in the first post only specifies the app_data folder. does your actual code specify a specific xml file?
