When im browse an excel file i get an error message ' The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object 'j$'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly.' What does it mean?

To explain, what OleDB is telling you is it can't find column J which in your code you are probably querying against that. What you may instead need to do is specify the value of the first row instead. So if row 1 of column J has a value of JOCKJAMS for
example, instead of querying against J$, query against 'JOCKJAMS'. Make sense? AT least that is my best guess without seeing your code.
