Hi I would like to create my reports by drawing out the data from the database.
After creating my template (what would be in my report) and saving it as the .rdlc format, what should i do next do preview the actual data, or to present it in my asp.net pages.
I like the way how report builder works as it can export to pdf/excel, however its a standalone. Is there any way to make it similar in microsoft visual studio 2010 professional?
Thanks in advance

Template is the concept in Reporting services, in local report(RDLC), it does not make sense to create a template. It is same to Preview feature, we could preview the report in BIDS or report builder, we could not do this in local report, if you want to
see the report you created, you could run the project, and then browser the report via IE.
For more information about local report please see:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms251671(VS.80).aspx

Hi thanks for your advice.
I've dragged in the report viewer from the toolbar in vsd 2010, add in the dataset, or rdlc.
However when i run the browser i'm not able to view the report as there is error.
