Can anyone tell me how can I make a connection to Oracle 11g data base via LDAP using ASP.NET?
How can set the connection string? What is the best Data Provider?

To use LDAP with Oracle you have to set up a separate database with Oracle Internet Identity Management repository.
Not seen this used very often due to extra expense and coding.
Alternatively, application authentication and authorization is done at the ASP.NET page using application ASP.NET membership and roles, which you can store in the same database as the data.
The connection to Oracle is then made using a single user who has permissions limited only to creating a database session, and for completely specific actions on database objects, such as SELECT only on a Lookup table or SELECT, UPDATE, and INSERT only on
a data transaction table (Least Privileges concept). Usually these permissions are controlled by a password protected Oracle Role. That is, the ASP.NET user accesses the data schema indirectly, not as the schema owner.
