From a client workstation (i.e. part of domain) I am running the website.
Below code is part of the intranet website:
String ldapPathString = LDAP://abc.au.xyz.com:123/OU=User Accounts,DC=au,DC=xyz,DC=com;
\\at this line, I am getting the error
adsRoot.AuthenticationType = AuthenticationTypes.Secure;
DirectorySearcher adsSearch = new
adsSearch.Filter = "sAMAccountName=" +
SearchResult oResult = adsSearch.FindOne();
"invalid ldap string";
----------Below are the IIS settings
In IIS settings for website are:
Anonymous authentication = disabled
ASP .Net Impersonation = Enabled (selected optoin is Authenticated user)
Windows authentication = Enabled (including kernal mode authentication enabled)
------- Below is the error:
at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.Bind(Boolean throwIfFail) at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.Exists(String path) at LDAP.findUser() in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\support\App_Code\LDAP.cs:line 41 An operations error occurred.

You can download LDAP Browser and check if your path is correct. Maybe there is something with port (usually it is 389).
If path is correct, modify security settings. Remove impersonation and leave checked only integrated security.
