I'm new to ASP.net and I'm trying to connect to a mysql database but I'm getting this error when I'm running my application. Access denied for user 'test_mysql'@'localhost' (using password: YES). I used this tutorial to get this far ( http://www.15seconds.com/issue/050210.htm
) but I don't know how to fix this.

Can you connect using the root user?
I've been using the latest DataProvider for MySQL (http://www.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/) with no issues :)

When you create database objects you should remove from their create statement DEFINER part (e.g. DEFINER=`test_mysql`@`localhost`) or replace with the real one from connection string (e.g. DEFINER=`real_username`@`real_servernameORipaddress`).
CREATE DEFINER=`test_mysql`@`localhost` PROCEDURE
CREATE DEFINER=`realname`@`realhost` PROCEDURE

Connect it directly using Mysql Browser and check it that are you able to connect it or not? than check out your credential that you are passing correct credential to connect with database.
I think the problem is in credential.
