I have a Form view that I really would like to be able for it to display multiple records. I am using form view because I want to custom format the way in which data is displayed from field to field. I have each field formatted differently and inside of
an arranged table. I use form view because I also need to give users the ability to edit and update records and add new records easily. How can I accomplish displaying, updating, and adding new records in a custom formated way? Thanks

i think instead of formview you can go for datalist. It will give more control ondisplay and formatting..
Here is an example http://quickstarts.asp.net/QuickStartv20/aspnet/doc/ctrlref/data/datalist.aspx
About paging of DataList: http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/paging.asp
Hope it helps.

the FormView displays a single record from the datasource
you could use the GridView instead to display multiple records and have the FormView do the edit-update and add new instead. IF you're not concerned about sorting that comes with the GridView, you could also have a TemplateField, with a GridView, with an
ItemTemplate render the same html that you would with a FormView in update/add new mode (use the ItemTemplate markup in the FormView within the GridView's ItemTemplate)
