I am totally new to Visual studio and webdeveloper tool. Ihave installed "Visual studio and webdeveloper Express 2010" in my laptop. During installation, prompted me to give password for SQL server. After the isntallation, I am able to open visual studio.
Also i hv seen SQL Server 2008 in Start -> All programs list. The folder contains following ::
Microsoft SQL Server 2008
-> Import and Export data (64 bit)
-> Configuration tools
--- > SQL server configuaration manager
--- > SQL server Error and usage report
--- > SQL server Installation support
Que:: I am not able to identify Database editor to store the data. I need a database for my project. Do i need to install database separately? If so, please provide the best opensource & trustable database.
Can anyone solve my query ASAP?

You can use SQL Server Management Studio (Express, or one from a commercial version) to manage your databases and data. You can find the free Express edition here:
You can also manage data (and create new databases) from within Visual Studio. In a web app, create a folder called App_Data and then add a new item to it. You find a SQL Server databases in the list of items you can add.
Hope this helps,
