I've been learning some web programming using 2010 Express and love it. I have VS 2005 Pro loaded and created a bunch (200) reports using Crystal for VS 2005. I'd like to see if I could get any of those reports to render so I can show my boss reusability
with what's already been developed.
I can get the first page of the report to show, but all the options at the top (Export, print, next page..etc) don't render. I implemented in the project by adding a reference to CrystalDecisions - Engine/Shared/Web. In the reference, it says version 10.2.3600.0
which is CR for VS2005.
Is there a way to get this to work? Do I have to load a different version of CR - I have 11R2 but I don't know if the web .dll's are there and how to invoke?

In IIS, you have to add the CR virtual folder to your web application to allow for the options to appear when rendering your report. Look at your Default Website to find the folder and its properties so that it can be added.
As for CR XI R2, the .NET DLLs are present and you should be able to install them directly without needing to install the CR application itself. Once installed, review the GAC to see what the version number it is.

I really new at this.. how do you do that?
I've just run the page from dev, I haven't 'deployed' it yet. Would there be a virtual directory created when I do that?
When I go into IIS, I have "Default Web Site" and some folder under that (including Reports and ReportServer which I think are Sql Server Reporting Service) and aspnet_client. Do you add them there?
Sorry I'm so dense..
