Could someone help: I am using the new Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010. I am trying to add a simple hyperlink with querystring parameters to a textobject. I add it via right clicking on the TextObject | Format Object | Clicking on the Hyperlink
Format Editory button and I paste in the url. The problem that I have been incurring is that the url gets truncated at the first incounter of the "=" sign.
For example: The following url will be truncated in IE Explorer
Has anyone else incountered this, is there some setting to allow querystrings in the url's of CR 2010

I think it might be because of those quotes and + symbol. Try pasting URL without those

What do you mean by truncating. Do you mean the hyperlink URL being truncated or the display in the text Object getting truncated. I have set URL for TextObject like this
And this is what I can see in browser

For the url in the format editor I have this ( your first screenshot )
This is what I get in the Internet Explorer Url ( your second screenshot )

I did that in CR2008 for Visual Studio 2008. I don't think that version should make any difference.
For a simple test, paste a URL like http://mysite.com?ID=1 to see if that date format is causing this issue.

I have tried multiple urls like http://mysite.com?ID=1 and It's always the same thing, it cuts off everything from the equal sign on in the url of the web brower. That url would be truncated to http://mysite.com?ID. I'm strarting to wonder if Crystal Reports
has some setting to not allow querystrings in a hyperlink!

Is there a setting that in the new Crystal Reports that could possibly disallow querystrings in hyperlinks?

I don't see any change in Crystal Reports 2010. This is what I can see
Are you using any formula to get Hyperlink URL from parameters/datasource fields.

I have tried with and without using parameter fields in a formula ( which I will eventually need to do - once I get this going to sort by columns ). Also I have tried just taking url's from Amazon.com, Ebay.com etc that use querystring param's and they
get truncated at the first equal sign. I think I need to create a test site with a test crystal report and see if that works. If so you must be correct in that it has to do with the page that has the CrystalReport Viewer on it.

Note: It has been determined that this is a deffinite bug in the new Crystal Reports 2010 runtime and that there will be a fix with the first Service pack.
