I'm pretty good at asp.net and vb.net (web/winforms). Now, I'm interested in making an app for mobile devices such as Iphone or HTC mobile phones (preferably something along the lines of the labyrinth app, if you are familiar with that).

You can create ASP.NET application that executes on your web server and work on almost any mobile phone that has access to Internet.
Windows Forms are much harder , since you need virtual machine. You can create mobile windows .Net application
if phone runs on Windows, but I don't think that is possible if client has Android, iOS, Symbian etc.
Better Paging. Fast page loads. More visits from search engines

It is not possible to develop thick client for Apple iPhone or HTC Android using asp.net/C#.net/VB.net.
For Apple iPhone, u have to learn iOS programming to develop applications Apple iPhone.
For BlackBerry development,
For HTC[Android Phones], u have to learn Android programming.
NOTE: Apple iPhone does not support JAVA applications. But JAVA applications will work on Android,Symbian OSs.
