This namespace contains a lot of attributes for use in, I'm sure, many different applications. I'm curious to know which subset of the attributes in this namespace can be and are used in the Dynamic Data proxy class system, where the entity class is given
an attribute that specifies a metadata type. That type contains properties with the same names as properties in the entity class, and the metadata provider builds MetaColumns using attributes on properties in these 'buddy' (proxy') classes.
So far my list includes, from System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations:
Required, Range, DisplayFormat, StringLength, UIHint, DataType, Regular Expression, Display Column, Editable, and
And from System.ComponentModel:
DisplayName, Description, and DefaultValue.
Am I missing any?

I know, but in all my years of using the web to ask forum questions, I have come across asking the same question on two different forum families as cross posting. If I had asked the same question on another Stack Exchange venture, then yes, but FYI I have
also duplicated questions on CodeProject.
I do this because many people unlike yourself spend time on specific forum families and don't see the questions on others, and one of them may in fact have a helpful reply.

According to the rules of SO you need to give attribution:
http://blog.stackoverflow.com/2009/06/attribution-required/. Also be sure to add in your posts at SO the link to this forum as well.

I will in future comply with the rule, and thanks for pointing it out to me. I'm sorry if I got annoyed and maybe said anything snotty, but I have never encountered such an attribution rule for forums before. It seems fair though and I have no problem

The StackOverflow topic has been deleted, so it really would be nice if somebody at this end answered the question.

Many are used now and the lines are becomming blured as to what is used in DD this is because they are used in MVC and Silverlight now also, you just need to give them a try. I will try and post an exaustive list on my blog over the holidays.
