sql serve 2005 enterprise edition is required to work with microsoft enterprise blocks

It doesn't require Enterprise Edition. "Enterprise" in the name stays for common enterprise development.

Microsoft Application Block should work with any SQL Server edition DB. Enterprise is just the name that they have given to the blocks.
