I've created a SetupWizard, but can't get it to show the Icon for the shortcut on desktop and program menu. The installation goes fine without any errors, the only problem is the icon.
I've made a shortcut of my exe file in the Application Folder and dragged the shortcut to the Desktop folder, then on the shortcut properties, I assigned it an icon picture located in Application Folder.
Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

That tutorial is a for VS 2005 and it doesn't handle the shortcut issue. I am trying to create a desktop shortcut for VS2008 application setup.

After a lot of reading on this problem, I've found out that advertised shortcuts could be what's stopping the icon from displaying correcly! I know I have to include a PostBuildEvent script on my SetUp project in Visual Studio 2008 to update or insert the
DISABLEADVTSHORTCUTS property to the MSI table of properties to do it automatically prior to builds. But I'm not sure how to exactly I have to write the command? The command below is one of a few that I have tried so far with no avail.
Command = UPDATE Property SET Property.Value = '1' WHERE Property.Property
