i'm using dynamic data on a small web apps that i'm building, but i want to make a log table that will contain all the actions that the user make,
example if he/she insert/modify/delete a field on certain table. it will log the action with the user_id the name of the field , with the old and new value

you can log all the data in the database itself with the help of the trigger.

If you use SQL 2005/2008, you could add the "OUTPUT" clause in INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE statement.

it can consumed a lot of space if i done this in trigger and it can;t capture the user_ID of the user who make the changes

In steed of storing log data in data base u can create log text file which will be created according to date. as user do some operation after completion of task the task should get stored in that TEXT log file.
