Can the author of a topic be given permissions to delete posts to their thread they may deem irrelevant? I'm sure many people have experienced people simply posting a link as an 'answer' to a question with it having little or no bearing on the question originally
answered. It's as if some individuals are amassing posts in sheer volume or speed of posting as some sort of prestigious act. Topic creators should be able to at least weed through pertinent info and also prevent others from hijacking posts....

Deleting other members posts is currently reserved for site admins and moderators.
If you find any off topic replies or thread-hijaacking posts added to your threads (or added to any threads) you can report them using the "Alert Moderators" link that you will find on every post.
Each report submitted is reviewed and reported posts may be moved or removed if necessary.
