I want to create a multicolumn treeview control.I searched for it and found many of them but none of them free. So decided to build one of my own.Need guuidance for proceeding.

No idea about that. You can use TreeView with GridView to be a workaround I think. When select node in TreeView, then the details are shown in GridView.

I had a requirement to display N-level hierarchical structure of data in asp.net. Initially some of ny friends used gridview itself to show that tree structure of data but i did not work well for n-level. so i made new attempt
to achieve this feature. i.e i have created a html table with two columns, in the first column, i had put just one treeview, in the another column i have created one simple html table. while loading page i will be populating a specific values (such as employee
name) in the treeview recursively, in the same time, i will be creating a html row with set of cells which have details of the employees such as (age,blood group,address etc.,) then this row will be addded to the second column table which i have created earlier.
for each and every treenode it has it's own details row in the second column table. On collapse on Expand view of the treeview control, i will just set the rows style=none or style=block respectively.
