My projects have some reports which is generated in excel. I have added "Interop.Excel.dll","Interop.Office.dll" as reference. And in web.config file following values are added
Version=126.96.36.199, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71E9BCE111E9429C"/></assemblies>
Now I am getting the following error if I don't install MS Office in the server.
"Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel, Version=188.8.131.52, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified"
Can anyone tell me what other references should I add so that I can avoid the error.
Thanks in Advance

installing MS office to run office.interop assemblies in u r project is the best option..
but still.... if u dont want to install MS office at all on server machine... then u can atleast install PIA (primary interop assemblies)
download link for PIA for office 2007
hope this helps...

you should not use
Excel Automation in server environment, even Microsoft discourages it (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/257757).
There are some excellent
Excel .NET libraries that don't depend on Excel app and because of that are much more faster and safer to use.
