If you receive this 400 bad request error, this means that the web service is not yet enabled. The .SVC file cannot be found and rendered on your site. Please kindly check your IIS web settings and please make sure that .SVC file is confirgured properly. I
had this problem before and the staff at ASPHostCentral just configured the .SVC for me. Magically, everything starts to work

When I give data contract instead of string its working fine . Problem for me is my string itself is an XML .So,XML inside a XML is not working .Then there raise another question "Why donot we send the XML string as an XML?" I tried that also but i could
not design a datacontract which conforms with the XML coz i have some atttributes to the elements in that XML which is not deserialized implicity to DataContract.

I'm wondering, what is the resulting text of your "XML wrapper in XML"? Of course pasting the "XML string" as is inside an XML wrapper element wouldn't work right, due to unallowed literals inside an element body (like, < must be changed to < etc.),
and possible namespace conflicts.
An easier way might be using XElement, which provides a convenient way to create and parse arbitrary XML. Check it out:
