First off, don't flame me! I am a pc guy, unfortunatly the place i work runs a MAC enviroment. We are going to purcahse a mac server running "OSX Snow Leopard Server" for internal data backup, schedules/iCal and E-Mail. We are also exploring the idea of
hosting our websites off of this server. Both the websites we have are in asp.net and use microsoft SQL.
Does anyone know if it is feasible to host ASP.NET and MS SQL off of OSX Snow Leopard Server? i know OSX Snow Leopard Server has apache support... besides that i have been looking around and info is hard to find.

I am not sure whether it is possible to run virtual pc on mac,
if you can run a virtual pc on mac then you can host asp.net sql in your server.
But again you need licensed the OS, Better bUY A vps from elsewhere.

IMHO it will be not a good idea to host ASP.NET application on MAC server. For Linux there is a Mono
http://www.mono-project.com/ but it also has limitations.

Will Mono run on OSX Snow Leopard server? or would i have to run a flavour of linux?
I'm still looking into my options, man Mac info is redonculous to find.

Just find out that, whether you can run VMWARE on MAC OS then install windows server in that machine. IF yes.
Then you can run your asp.net site in that same server. (i think VMWARE FUSION IS THE PRODUCT FOR THAT)
get a vps for $50/month.... cool and simple solution.

I looked into it and it appears i will be able to use VM Ware Fusion
I was hesitant of using vm ware at first, hopeing to be able to run asp.net and MS SQL off OSX Leopad server since the web hosting part is based off of apache, however even the apache asp.net plugins have problems ive been reading about.
It appears that VM Ware Fusion is the most viable option.
