In my use of the Classifieds Starter kit I would like to have the default page display only top level catagories (zipcodes in my case), sorted by the number of ads (rewards in my case) and only showing the first 20 for now. I may increase it later, but for
now, getting started, I would only like the 20 zipcodes with the most postings displayed and no sub-categories displayed.
My code is still the base default code in this area.
It is live at http://goodstudentrewards.com
Newbie, just getting started with this project, so any and all input and help welcome

I found out that it cannot handle 43000 Zipcodes! I did a csv file import to add all possible zipcodes as categories and it crashed! Back up now. Still need help with original question. And may need help with dealing with a large number of categories. Although
I will likely add them as needed for now.

Maybe use zipcodes in the Location field? And only use the first few digits... like 60 for all zipcodes starting with 60192 60385 etc. Then you would only need 99 locations. Going by every single zipcode has problems. I used to live in an area with
a zipcode that had my bank, credit card company, everybody thinking I lived 145 to the north east.
