May be I'm asking some stupid questions...so first of all I'm sorry to all. I'm in a project where I will have to deveop a server component using WCF framework where I will write some RESt ful web services. Using these services we will retrieve data from
database also will perform some save/edit/delete operations.
Up to this, I've written some sample REST ful web services and started the services using a console application where I've created an instance of WebServiceHost & used end point like "http://localhost:8731/ZipCode/". The service started as I expected.
Then ping the following request http://localhost:8731/ZipCode/9999 in the browser. Go the response from it. So up to this it's working fine.
But I want to host it into IIS/Asp.Net environment so that deveopers from Blackberry end can call using http://services.abc.com/ZipCode/9999 and can get the response to display this to the winow. Can anyone help me how can I do it without a help of another
Is it possible to host REST ful services like normal WCF services?
I've decided to use REST ful services to develop the server component?what about SOAP based web services?
Please please help me to get rid of this problem..I'm really stuck in this position.
