I got the same error on two different machines:
PC 1: Latest Win XP Pro, MS Visual Studio 2008 SP1
PC2: Win Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008 SP1 and Visual Studio 2010 RC.
On both machines near the end of installation process it displayed the same
Two log files (links displayed on error message) are as follows:
How to fix that?

Check control panel -> programs if there is already installed MVC 2. If it is - remove it and try to install it again.

No, there is no installed MVC 2; Control Panel does not show one.
It does, however, shows "MVC 1.1". Attempts to uninstall MVC 1.1 generate "Please uninstall MS Visual Studio Tools component for MVC before uninstalling MVC 1.1" error. I didn't find such app as "MS Visual Studio Tools component for MVC" installed.

On my computer the installation went successful. The logs you posted, are almost the same as mine, but It seems on your computers, AspNetMVC2.msi is failng to install. Try to find it and run it manually as administrator. According to the log - this is the path:

I tried to install it manually as you suggested and again get
Apparently, there is something wrong with Visual Studio related registries.
It's asking to uninstall "Microsoft Visual Studio Tools component for MVC before uninstalling ASP.NET MVC
1.1", although I didn't try to uninstall MVC 1.1 at this time. Apparently, it's MVC 2.0 installer itself, who needs to uninstall MVC 1.1.
But again, I don't see such thing as "Microsoft Visual Studio Tools component for MVC" installed anywhere, so I cannot uninstall it.

I had the same issue when I was trying to install MVC 2 RTM on the top of MVC 2 B2. In order to fix the problem I had to go to Settings / Control Panel / Add or Remove programs and uninstall the MVC 2 B2 the previously installed.
I hope it helps.

@ravikanth192, Thanks a lot!
After I manually removed 'HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ASP.NET\MVCTools 1.1' from registry, as it was suggested in comments under
http://weblogs.asp.net/jacqueseloff/archive/2009/06/09/troubleshooting-the-mvc-installer-for-visual-studio-2010-beta-1.aspx, I was able to uninstall MVC 1.1 and then successfully installed latest MVC 2.0.
