I noticed the new design of the site and it's cool.. But it would be nice if the recognition points displayed in the home
page and other tabs will be formatted with commas.

I would like to add (if vinz doesn't mind) that the points label is very close to the search field, make a space between them.

Exactly which pages? I have just had a look and on all the pages I have just looked at, the points are formatted with commas as a thousands separator.

It appears in any link that is not related to forums section like:
hey...they added a space between the search box and the recognition points, that's good.

Now I see what you mean!
http://forums.asp.net/myforums.aspx?PageIndex=1&forumoptions=::9::&ForumID=-1 show the points with the comma.
The pages cited, do have the comma - that is inconsistent!

Since the thousands separator is not a comma internationally, and all of the other subsites (www.asp.net, wiki.asp.net, weblogs.asp.net) display the points with no separator, I think the best resolution is to remove the separator from forums.asp.net.
