Select enable avatar option Yes, then choose the image file and click on update button.

Does anyone know why I wouldn't be able to update my avatar? I have checked to box to enable it, and I have tried uploading several .JPG's which seem to upload fine... but it never updates. Am I missing something?

this is at the moment a known issue: http://forums.asp.net/t/1534929.aspx. The team behind these forums are currently busy with solving problems and prioritizing. Just be calm and make use of the forums and check the feedback
forums to see if this particular issue has been resolved. Once the green light has been given you can try again.

It sure is takes a while to fix such a simple feature. I guess big corporations always move this slow though. Netflix has the exact same problem for their user profile avatars and has been "prioritizing" fixing it for months now... It is insignificant, but

I'm not defending anyone, but this site went through a major redesign recently. I would expect things not to work perfectly, and for the team to be busy resolving issues. Avatar update would probably be a lower priority as it doesn't affect the functioning
of the site oin any way, I would think. But then again, what do I know :-)

I apologize for the delay in reply. Our priority has been the redesign launch, the MVC2 release-related updates, and the MIX-related updates. We'll focus on this as soon as we can, hopefully this week but it could push into next week.

I have seen a few reports of this problem, so it seems like a bug. I've now logged it and we'll look into it as soon as we can this week.

Note: I have merged 2 threads on the same topic, for manageability.

This issue should now be resolved, and I see now see custom avatars for everyone on this thread. :-)
