May be ports are been used by other application like Skype, Yahoo messenger. Try just closing loaded application and try again.

Either you have antivirus or a firewall app that is blocking access to port 80http://forums.asp.net/p/1425377/3185405.aspx#3185405

@ dude 123
i use to keep my firewall off.
as far as Antivirus is concerned, it could be the problem.
if it is, is there any solution without uninstalling the Antivirus?

Which internet browser you are using? Try installing a new web browser (Ex : Mozilla firefox) and change the "Browse with" setting in file menu. Select the newly intalled browser and
set as default. Then try running the applicatin from VS.

i did something and it worked. whenever i do "View in Browser" an icon shows of ASP.Net Development server i.e. built in server of VS.
the port it shows is always different from the port shown in the address bar of browser.
when i replaced it with the one it was shown in the ASP.Net Development Server it worked.
but now still i am unable to resolve why this is happening?
