Hi, I am new to VS 2008. I am running MS Vista with the 3.5 Framework. I just loaded VS2008 Express and VB 2008 Express. I was able to create a ClassLibrary project (vbproj) in VB2008. However, when I try and open that in VS2008, I get an error : vbproj
cannot be opened because its project type is not supported. The thing is that I cannot create any projects in VS2008 excecpt for Blank Solutions, because there are no templates available to choose from when I attempt a File\New\Project in VS 2008. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

There is no "Visual Studio Express", it's Visual Web Developer Express. And VWD will not open VB projects, two different technologies. You can create a VB project in VB Express or you can create an ASP.NET project in VWD Express, but you can't use one
with the other.

I think jeff might have a point there, I didnt notice you referred to it as vs2008 express.
You should be able to insert class library projects into visual web developer 2008 express SP1 if you are talking about vwd.
They added in support so that MVC could support separate test projects.
You probably can't open it directly but you can add it to a solution.
Also if you want to USE a class library in your website then you should take the following approach:
You will then be able to use code from the class library in your website projects. This is supported in all versions of vwd express.
