Hi, I'm having a strange problem when I'm testing my custom web control. The problem is when I have entered a value in the textbox and pressed next on to another screen. If I then go back (history.back) then the textbox is blank rather than showing the
This only seems to happen in Firefox and Chrome though and it is fine in IE. The value is being saved to the database ok. My class in inheriting from WebControl.

IE does alot things automatically, need to see your control structure, OnInit, OnLoad, Render

Can you elaborate on this please? I don't understand, what exactly does each browser do?

I use to test in IE, but not anymore. Now I test in firefox, and then IE for cosmetics. IE8 is different for file uploads, in which it saves the name of the file instead of the path.
It's probably the way you wrote the control. Each time you flip to a new page, that page has to build by itself with nothing in memory like windows. You have a url, a cookie, and a session variable to store data in. You have to construct the page with those
When you press the back button, the page will render back to the last viewstate, onPostBack, and not a fresh viewstate, Not Postback.
You issue desctiption is vague, so I have no clue what your doing.
