I have an asp.net application up and running on godaddy.com - and considering I'm pretty new at this, it was actually pretty easy. Now I'm working on a project for a friend and her site is on 1and1.com. I've got just a couple of pages working on my local
computer and wanted to deploy what I have on 1and1 - just to make sure there weren't any gotchas. Ugh. I don't know where to start. I think I have all of the permissions on the files set correctly but when I try to pull up the site from a browser, I'm getting:
You tried to access a document for which you don't have privileges.
When I try I put the full URL with the /welcome.aspx at the end, it actually displays my full source code without actually executing it. I'm assuming that I'm missing several steps but can't seem to find any good guidance with this
one. The threads I have found that might have helped seem to be referenced an Administration page within 1and1.com that has changed - so it doesn't seem to apply anymore.

Sounds like her server doesn't support server-side scripts. What package does your friend have and is it an MS Server?

You should check first if your hosting plan supports ASP.NET and which version.

1and1... still running asp.net 2.0, call their support and ask how to run asp.net pages

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Yes. As it turns out she was running the Beginner package and you have to be running either the MS Business or MS Developer package in order for ASP pages to be supported.
