Dear pals, I have implemented a http handler in my .net web application. After checking everything in my development environment, i moved the build to QA. I hosted the application under the default website and there are some other projects hosted under same
port but different virtual directory. One of the web service project which is no way related to my application is trying to register the http handlers, which i implemented in my application and It is throwing the error "unable to load type <class name>". I
checked the web service project web.config and there are no handlers registered in that. Is there any configurations that are to be made at the IIS level if both the application are running under the same website and same application pool. Please help me in
finding the solution.

HttpHandlers are dependent on the extensions you have registered in the web.config file. You can refer one of my blogs on HttpHandlers.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. I registered my http handler in the web.config and working fine in my application. But the problem is there is a web service application in different virtual directly but under the same web application is trying to load the Http Handler and
throwing the error. The same http handler is not registered in the web service web.config. The web service is automatically invoked by the windows service for every 1 min.
