i have installed SQL server 2005 Server & Clicent in My PC. now i want to install SQL server 2008 Express Edition.
when i try to install it it gives an Error as below.
Rule "SQL Server 2005 Express tools" failed.
The SQL Server 2005 Express Tools are installed. To continue, remove the SQL Server 2005 Express Tools.
please Help me if any one have solution for this..

Well, I think the error is rather specific; you need to remove the SQL Server 2005 Express Tools. You should be able to do so from the Control Panel.

Yes, that i know but i donot want to remove any instance of SQL Server 2005.

I don't think you have much choice, sorry. You could remove the tools and upgrade the SQL Server instances to SQL Server 2008. Is there a specific reason, why you want to hang on to SQL Server 2005?

because my main project is in SQL server 2005 and i have one small project that require 2008. so i donot want to completely switch on to SQL Server 2008.

I must admit that I don't remember mixing two versions of SQL Server, but I think it can be done. Basically, you need to upgrade the tools, which should be okay, because the 2008 tools works just fine with 2005 databases, and that without upgrading the databases.
