I don't know whether this is exactly the right forum but I'm new, so bear with me.
I have been working on a website using VS2008 Express and throughout used the Development Server to test my work.
I'm now putting together a contact form so I thought I might publish the site locally to my IIS server. My machine is running XP Pro with version 2 of the .net framework.
Firstly I set up a virtual directory under the default website. The virtual directory being c:\inetpub\mywebsite. I then proceeded to copy my site across.
When I try to access a page, it first hits the global.asax which tuns an application startup routine to populate some data. The class it tries to run is held in c:\inetpub\mywebsite\app_code but it can't seem to find it. Within the VS2008 dev environment
there is nothing to do but do I need to do something else for IIS?

may be it is a IIS issue - you can uninstall using this command aspnet_regiis -u and again install using this command aspnet_regiis -i
Please, Mark as Answer if this reply helped you
