I use the following "starters kit" for my personal website: http://www.asp.net/downloads/starter-kits/personal/
The photobook of the website application is in my purpose the most important. I wil use it for uploading some party-pictures.
On my configuration with a Windows 2008 server and IIS7/SQL Server 2005 express the website haves a long of serverside parsetime. I have no idea how to optimize this application. Can anyone help me with some sugestions for optimize the application?
Thanks a lot!

Martinj, I'm not clear on exactly what you mean by serverside-parsing, but on the off chance that you're refering to the time it takes to display pictures, it is a function of the size of the original images. If you images are on the order of 500K eac
(typical digital camera pictures), each one may take a while to load, especially if you have several of them, as each image is transmitted down the wire in it's entirety.
A good solution is to reduce the images to under about 100K, and to turn off the ViewState in controls that don't require their state to be saved between round trips. That should speed up the the implementation radically.
