We have our site which user accesses from desktop browser as
www.domainname.org now I am working on mobile version of the same. I came to know that some mobile sites have URL as m.domainname.com so i thought of making our site as accessible from both domainnames i.e.
www.domainname.org & m.domainname.org.
I am using WS 2008 & IIS 7.0. Could anyone please tell me how to that?
Any help will be highly appreciated.

for m.domainname.com, you need to create a sub domain for your ste with name m, then you can point that sub domain to particular folder.

Why to have two different domains, you can use
http://www.51degrees.mobi/Products/NETMobileAPI/tabid/86/Default.aspx it is free open source asp.net mobile api. It makes use of WURFL the most upto date mobile device database.
Above API will help to detect whether request is coming from mobile or desktop. If it is from mobile it will redirect to mobile optimized pages.
So if use above API you can have same domain for different websites(mobile and desktop).
You can look at article explaining details here
