My objective in to integrate data from Dynamics AX system to Sales Force. For example: Accounting people make changes in AX system, these changes should reflect to Sales Force at the end of the day (batch update).
I don't have any experience designing this kind of integrations, but I figured out that Sales Force provides Web Service API that we can call from C#(.NET) and can make appropriate changes in Sales Force. And I came to know about the CLR Integration in SQL
Server / VS 2008. Using CLR you can execute Managed Code (C#) from Database Stored Procedure.
So, I designed the solution in this way: Write Stored Procedure in SQLServer 2008 which gets the updated data from AX Database and call CLR Functions (and give updated data as a input parameters to these CLR Functions) which in turn call Web Services and
update the data in Sales Force.
I started implementing this design by creating New "SQL Server Project" in VS 2008, and by this I can write C# Code and create CLR Functions which I can use in Stored Procedure.
When I add Sales Force WSDL file to Sql Server Project, I am not able to deploy the project in SQL Server, and got this error: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
Can anyone give me the feedback about my design strategy, and also help me out regarding deployment problem.
